Houston, TX, May 6, 2025  – As the innovation leader of the gardening industry, Vego Garden remains committed to empowering local communities and underprivileged individuals through its Giving Back Program. Continuing to gain momentum since the beginning of the year, our program offers support to key organizations, with more new alliances formed in the communities where we operate. These continued efforts have contributed to real social change, as we continue our quest to give back in 2025.

With corporate social responsibility as our core value, Vego Garden supports a variety of non-profit, social, charitable, and educational projects. Last year, the Giving Back Program provided garden bed donations to a total of 208 organizations. We will present some project updates from donor organizations whose contributions we received in April this year.

New Partnerships to Further Growth

Continuing from our efforts in the previous months, we partnered with more influential organizations to give back and serve those in need in April. One of these organizations is Skagit Gleaners, established in 1988 as a dedicated non-profit gleaning organization with a mission to address food waste and its impact on the environment, while empowering families with programs and resources to foster a resilient community.

They incorporated two 17-inch-tall modular 9-in-1 metal raised garden beds into their community-led garden program. The organization recently expanded its efforts by developing the garden program to support small-scale local cultivation, increasing access to fresh, nutritious foods for participants.

Since 1889, South Carolina-based Converse University has been committed to inspiring student voices through education. They aim to develop passionate global citizens whose dedication and creativity bring value to their professions and communities.

Their Horticulture Club partnered with the Environmental Studies Program and the Valkyrie Supply Basic Needs Center to establish a campus garden. Utilizing five seedling trays, a wall trellis, and seedlings donated by Vego Garden, the project served as a hands-on teaching resource, expanded research opportunities, and fostered meaningful community engagement.

We partnered with the Franklin Elementary School, located near the heart of historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee. The school advocates innovative and research-based practices in its classrooms. One of its goals is to teach students how to grow their own food, in the hope that students will try cooking food in different ways for healthier diets.

Vego Garden donated a Jumbo-Sized 17" Tall U-Shaped Raised Garden Bed Kit to the school. The raised bed not only provides sufficient space for the program’s 226 students to grow, but also allows them to try a variety of produce as well.

Since its inception, the Angels Charge Ministry has helped women, both young and old, to reenter society. They used four of our 17" Tall 6-in-1 Modular Metal Raised Garden Bed Kits to provide fresh, healthy produce to meet immediate food needs, while providing opportunities for bonding between their organization members.

Westmore Elementary serves about 390 students from grades K-5. The school encourages students, staff, and families to work together to foster a positive and successful learning experience for students.

Vego Garden donated two 32" Extra Tall 9-in-1 Modular Metal Raised Garden Bed Kits and three 17" Tall 6-in-1 Modular Metal Raised Garden Bed Kits to the school to help them establish a pollinator reading garden, inviting members to participate in planting, maintenance, and learning activities. They built and enjoyed the garden in a joint effort, cultivating a sense of belonging and strengthening collaboration within the community.
