Who We Help
Making an Impact
2024 was a big year for Vego Gives Back, and we’re just getting started.
Recent Projects
Urban Harvest x The Opportunity Center
In Houston’s Gulfton neighborhood, a former juvenile detention facility is now The Opportunity Center—a space for education, healing, and growth. Vego Garden donated classic raised beds and helped build a garden where justice-involved youth gain the tools to break cycles of incarceration and step into a future filled with purpose and possibility.
The WOW Project
The Food Haven, The WOW Project’s flagship food rescue and distribution program, is dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting hunger in Houston.
They partner with local grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers to gather surplus food before it goes to waste. Their pantry and community garden full of Vego Garden beds provide fresh, nutritious food to families in need.
Harvest for the Hungry
Harvest for the Hungry is a nonprofit in Freeport, TX, fighting food insecurity with locally grown fruits, veggies, honey, eggs, and fish.
Every year, they deliver thousands of pounds of fresh, healthy food to families in Brazoria, Fort Bend, Harris County, and beyond—making sure no table goes empty.
Interfaith of The Woodlands
Interfaith of the Woodlands has been serving its community since 1973. Their Veggie Village program is a communal garden where 75% of the produce is donated to Interfaith’s food pantry. Vego donated garden beds to the Interfaith Child Development Center, further expanding the ability of this organization to grow food, teach kids the importance of healthy food, and do more good in their community.
