Vego Garden Giving Back Program Update - May 2025
Houston, TX, June 6, 2025 – Through its ongoing Giving Back Program, Vego Garden has remained committed to empowering communities and underprivileged individuals, as the gardening industry’s innovation leader. Gaining continued momentum since the beginning of the year, the program offers support to key organizations and NGOs, with new partnerships formed in the communities where we operate every month. Our efforts have contributed to sustainable social change, as we continue our quest to give back.
Vego Garden supports a range of non-profit, government, social, charitable, and educational projects, with corporate social responsibility at our core. In 2024, the Giving Back Program provided garden bed donations to a total of 208 organizations. Since the start of this year, we have stayed on track with donations for the greater good, giving back to those in need.
New Highlight in May
As in previous months, our alliances with educational organizations have been some of the most fruitful. We joined hands with West Carroll FFA, an agricultural education program at a rural high school in Tennessee. The school caters to many students who experience poverty or food insecurity.
The school teaches students to grow healthy, sustainable food on their own using five of our 17" Tall 9 in 1 Modular Metal Raised Garden Bed Kits. This will help address future food insecurity challenges that students may face. The garden beds will benefit over 200 students each year, providing them with hands-on experience and essential knowledge for their future.
We also supported the work of Wilson Elementary School, teaching students about God's creation, stewardship, problem-solving, patience, and responsibility through gardening. This allows them to enjoy the fruits of their labor in the process.
They received initial support from Vego Garden as a part of its Giving Back program. This came in the form of three 11" tall 4 in 1 beds that allow them to start their garden classroom. Each week, students tend to the garden while learning gardening essentials and stewardship principles in classes.
Another institution that benefited from our donations is St. Paul's Catholic School located in beautiful Jacksonville Beach, Florida. They provide superior education in a faith-based environment that encourages the spiritual, academic, and social development of each student.
They used five 17" Tall 9 in 1 Modular Metal Raised Garden Bed Kits to complete the first step of building a new school garden, whereby students gained more knowledge and fun.
Meanwhile, a parent of a Howe Elementary School student, a nature lover and artist, purchased Vego garden beds via the Giving Back Program discount at her own expense. The beds were used to transform a lawn at the school into a garden, with the support of the Parent-Teacher Association and the principal.
Several parent and student volunteers also participated in digging out the area, laying down a path, and surrounding it with seven kid-sized Vego raised beds. They then installed the arbors at each end for the students to pass under when they use the path. Parents, students, and locals alike have enjoyed this new addition to the neighborhood!
