Vego Garden sprouted
in the summer of 2020

...when our founder & Chief Product Guy, Robert Xiong, came back to gardening after a childhood spent in his grandparents' garden. An engineer by trade, Robert tried to build his own garden, certain that he'd find innovative new tools, but was left wondering…

Why hadn't gardening supplies changed in 20 years?

So, we reimagined the garden products completely.

So many "solutions" were the same tired tradeoffs—heavy and awkward to move, flimsy plastic panels that warped and cracked, rust-prone materials, sharp edges, and designs that didn't actually make gardening easier. We didn't accept that as tradition.

Product first, always.

That means better materials, smarter engineering, and refusing to compromise on the things that matter. We built our first raised bed with specialized anti-corrosion coating for a long-lasting, up to 20-year lifespan, and made it 17" tall—because 15" is the minimum, not the goal. You'll see that same logic in innovations like Greenhouses material and FlexGrow Tomato Cages that adapt as plants grow.

2020

The Beginning: Raised Garden Beds & VZ 2.0

Our Classic raised garden beds were designed to be modular, durable, and beautiful, quickly becoming a favorite for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike.
As demand grew, we introduced VZ 2.0, enhancing durability for garden beds that last over 20 years.

2021

Smarter Gardening with Add-Ons

Expanding on our modular approach, we launched Garden Bed Add-Ons, giving gardeners more flexibility to customize and expand their setups. Our Self-Watering System made plant care more efficient, reducing water waste while keeping plants hydrated.

2022

Elevating Garden Design

This year, we introduced a variety of new products to enhance every type of garden space.
We launched Tomato Planters and Dragon Fruit Planters, built specifically for climbing and vining fruits.
Our Elevated Beds made ergonomic gardening more accessible. Citrus Planters brought mobility to fruit tree growers, allowing gardeners to move trees indoors during colder months.

2023

Expanding into Seed Starting

To help gardeners at every stage of the growing process, we introduced our Seed Starting Systems, designed to make sprouting and transplanting easy.
With this, we made it easier than ever to start a thriving garden from the ground up—any time of year.

2024

More Than Raised Beds

Innovation took center stage in 2024 with over 40 new product launches. We introduced our first smart device, the Vego Kitchen Composter, a game-changer for eco-conscious households who want an effortless composting solution. The EZCube Planter and Foodcube redefined self-watering gardening, proving that technology can make growing food easier and more sustainable than ever.

This year, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible in gardening. Dozens of new products will help gardeners grow year-round, no matter their location.
